Our village lies in the heart of Wiltshire to the western end of the Wylye Valley, where the river Wylye runs through part of the parish, and is just a couple of miles east of the town of Warminster.

The village is overlooked by the hills of Scratchbury and Cotley and Norton Bavant parish extends northwards beyond  the hills encompassing two outlying farms and extending onto Salisbury Plain. It is located 19 miles from the Roman city of Bath and twenty miles from the medieval city of Salisbury.
